The Open Source Intelligence Laboratory (OSIL) at Mississippi State University aims to intersect rigorous research methods with open source intelligence data (OSID) gathering to increase the capability, effectiveness, and efficiency of intelligence communities through scholarship and policy. Our unique partnerships with OSID practitioners bolsters our ability to create a multidisciplinary approach to OSID analysis and implementation. OSIL also serves as an objective, institutional resource for policy, legal, and practical questions regarding OSID, and provides tailored training on our innovative strategies for those who work with OSID.
